Lisa DuPerow, RN
Lisa DuPerow has been working in Assisted Living & Memory Care for a little over 12 years and has been a registered nurse for 20 years. Although nursing is a second career for her, she has been in the healthcare field since graduating from the University of Toledo. She has worked in hospitals, ambulatory clinics and home health care but it wasn't until she started in senior living that she says she found her calling.
She is passionate about caring for seniors and has a special place in her heart for people living with ALzheimer's and related dementias. She believes strongly in the power of education and training for caregivers and family members.
Lisa lives in Westlake with her husband, Mark, and son, Matt. She enjoys reading, writing, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends.
Senior Living Director
Courtney Stanislaw has been in the healthcare field for seven years. She was raised in Westlake, Ohio, and attended Westlake High School. In 2006 she graduated and continued her education at Ohio University, studying Psychology, Family Studies, and Health and Human Services. Courtney always knew she wanted to help people and make a difference in someone’s life. Throughout many internships, she always found an enjoyment helping families and specifically the senior population, showing compassion through both their struggles and positive events. After graduating college, Courtney continued her interests in senior living by jumping right in and working at a Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Community as a Social Services and Admissions Director. Courtney couldn’t wait to utilize her significant amount of experience at this new community, VITALIA® Westlake! Her hobbies include running, cooking, enjoying being a newlywed as of July 2017, and cuddling with her wrinkly bulldog, Bentley. We are so excited to have Courtney join our team as Senior Living Director!
Senior Living Coordinator
Deborah Spero has joined VITALIA® Westlake as the Senior Living Coordinator. She brings over 25 years of senior living experience to the team. Deborah literally grew up in the senior living field, volunteering in activities at the age of 10 years old. She has held positions from Activities Director to Executive Director. Her favorite part of any position is working with families and learning their stories. Deborah is very community oriented and has continued to volunteer in many ways. She moved to the area to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters, Eloise and Flannery. In Deborah's free time she enjoys exploring everything Cleveland with her family, as well as baking and running. Her favorite pastime with seniors that she meets is collecting recipes. She says "Be prepared to share secrets of your favorite dish!"
Director of Wellness
Carolyn joins VITALIA® with over 35 years experience as a nurse. Her passion throughout her career has been senior living, memory care, and hospice. She was born and raised in Fairview Park. Carolyn enjoys spending most of her free time with her husband Jerry, their son and daughter, their spouses, and 2 grandchildren with more on the way! Carolyn’s hobbies are her 3 dogs, gardening, cooking, playing the piano, and she loves to fish.
Resident Services Director
Laura Baltmiskyte is a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Exercise Wellness. Pursuing her passion for exercise, she recently became a Certified Personal Trainer! She was born in Lithuania, but spent most of her life growing up in Rocky River, OH. In her free time she loves to work out, paint, and travel.
Laura is here to provide residents with a variety of exciting events and entertainment. She is excited for her first year in Senior Living!
Business Office Director
Emily graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. She has over 10 years experience working in skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care communities. Emily is a volunteer for the Cleveland Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Born and raised in East Liverpool, OH and currently resides in North Ridgeville with her husband. She enjoys going on new adventures with her two daughters. Emily’s golden retriever, Cody previously “worked” as a therapy dog at her previous community. It was her aunt who instilled in Emily her love and compassion for the geriatric population. Emily is thrilled to be a part of the VITALIA® Westlake team!
Avery Bolden, PhD
Executive Culinary Director
Chef Avery has served in the senior living industry for nearly 30 years in various management facets. Prior to the senior living industry Chef Avery worked in the hospitality industry as an Executive Chef. He has received professional accreditations as a Certified Executive Chef, a Food Service Management Professional, a Certified Food Service Executive, and a Certified Dietary Manager. Chef Avery has earned multiple educational degrees leading up to a PhD in Christian Counseling Psychology. He is a licensed and certified Christian Therapist, licensed and ordained Christian minister, an author and educator. Chef Avery has lived in Cleveland, Ohio all of his life while providing management services in many cities. Chef Avery enjoys teaching Christian ministry, culinary arts and spoiling his two grandchildren. Chef Avery is very pleased to be back in Westlake where his senior living experience began.
Plant Operations Director
Greg grew up in Olmsted falls and currently lives in North Olmsted. He graduated from Olmsted Falls High School and went to Polaris for his last two years of high school to study HVAC. He has worked in the maintenance/Hvac field for the last 27 years. Greg found his true passion for the senior living industry over 7 years ago. He and his wife, Katie, have been married for 19 years and have two boys: Cody, who is 12, and Hunter, who is 8. They enjoy spending time together as a family traveling, camping, and being outdoors. Greg helps coach his sons' hockey teams and plays on an adult hockey league. He also assists with Cub scouts and Boy Scouts.
Lead Operations Coordinator
Rachael graduated from The University of Akron in 2016 with her Bachelors in Psychology. She worked for 3 years in higher education administration before starting her career and newfound passion in senior living. She was raised in Norton, Ohio, and graduated from Norton High School. For the last 7 years she has been living in Akron, Ohio. Rachael was recently married in September 2018 to her husband, Anthony. Rachael and Anthony met while they were both attending The University of Akron. They have 2 cats, Mary Margaret and Neil, named after characters from TV series "Once Upon A Time". In her free time Rachael enjoys visiting with her family and friends, crocheting, hooping and baking. She also enjoys supporting her local non-profits and sorority chapter.
